"So I've now had my first, "you lied about your product There are marks all over the inside etc" message from a buyer "well you can just refund me half my money and we will call it even" etc (not exactly the words used) does that mean I'm officially a real eBay reseller ? Lol.
So glad all the eBay messages are there and saved.
I politely replied she could initiate a return using proper eBay protocol, shipping was on her, and I'd be glad to refund her the money once.i had the purse back. Said it nicely twice.
When I got the "well I was going to keep it and clean it up but you were dishonest" well I'm done.
I know I know it's business not personal but I had to vent.

Real question though, when proper procedure is followed and a return is initiated and accepted do you refund just the price of the product itself or the whole thing they paid, ie the cost of the product plus shipping?"

Yes. God forbid you don't handle a namby pamby lying buyer wrangling for a discount with kid gloves and have the nerve to out them to someone in public. I hate how they mollycoddle buyers. As if ebay doesn't do it enough already.
