The German plates case lives on. Ebay decided in his favor after he uploaded a tracking number on February 15. I still have no plates, and paypal unceremoniously took $204 and gave it to him.
So...again the seller gets screwed. I am out the plates and the $65 shipping.
Conversely, If indeed he did send anything back, he's out whatever he paid to send them back, and if he did send all of them, he's out the merchandise too. If that's so, it was a total dumbass move.
He should have taken my 50% offer. John would have gotten paid, and he would have had two nice plates with half his money back and shipping paid for.
I would not have gotten anything, but my consignor would have gotten something, and my buyer as well. The language barrier was not a factor in this...it was common sense that bit someone on the ass.
Which scenario would you pick?
2 good plates for what you originally paid for them and free shipping.
No plates, out shipping costs.
